Chinese smartphone maker LeEco has announced the sale of its first smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset — LeEco Le Max Pro, a month after the device was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas.

The company made the announcement on Monday at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona, the capital city of the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain. The new generation mobile phone is priced at approximately Rs.21,000.

LeEco Le Max Pro Specifications

  • The Le Max Pro sports a 6.33-inch QHD display and 1440×2560 pixels
  • 4GB of RAM.
  • Other features of the Le Max Pro include a 3400mAh battery
  • A 21-megapixel rear camera that comes with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
  • The dual-SIM Le Max Pro supports 4G LTE connectivity option and comes with USB Type-C port.

It is reported that the Le Max Pro’s first sale was limited to just 1,000 units, and that engineering models instead of commercial models were sold in the flash sale that began at 12pm on Tuesday. We can expect the company to bump up the price closer at the full retail launch.
