Micromax Informatics Ltd., one of the domestic consumer electronics manufacturer, today announced the launch of its new tablet – Micromax Canvas Tab P680. Priced at Rs. 9,499, the tablet comes with built-in dual box speakers for loud and clear audio.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P680 features a (20.32cm) 8-inch WXGA IPS Display with Anti-Glare coating with the screen resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.

Powered by the 1.3GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, the Canvas Tab P680 offers 16GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Micromax Canvas Tab P680 is the first Micromax tablet running on the Android Lollipop operating system.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P680 sports a 5MP Autofocus rear camera with flash support and a 2MP FF front-facing camera for video calling and selfies. The device is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, the Canvas Tab P680 comes with dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0 with OTG support, and 3.5mm Audio Jack port.

“Our new series of Canvas Tabs has helped us rise to become a leading player in the tablet category. Our tablets now offer an immersive internet and entertainment experience to our customers. Our line-up has been very well expected by consumers,” said Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics at the launch event.

He also said that with the launch of Canvas Tab P680, users will get the finest immersive audio and video experience, giving them a full-fledged entertainment break.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P680 will be available in metallic copper color for purchase from22nd August, 2015 at all the retail outlets and online portals at a price point of Rs. 9,499.
